This time to yourself can make you feel more peaceful.

Eat more fresh fruit, raw vegetables, whole grains, beans, brown rice and nuts to improve your complex carbohydrate intake.

When you are developing yourself, always maintain self-discipline. Learn to develop a strong sense of self control. Win the battle over bodily cravings including gluttony, greediness, drink, drugs and sex. Being able to control your desires and restrain your urges will keep you from harming your mind and your body.

Paying attention to your body is a good personal development practice. Listen to the signals your body sends you: tiredness, hunger, pain or discomfort. Respond right away to them, for the sake of your health. Start to listen to what your body is telling you, and act on what you're hearing. You'll become better attuned, and the result will be better overall personal development. If you ignore your body, it may ignore you in the future.

Make yourself and your goals a priority. Do not become a self-centered person, but keep in mind that no one else will help you be a happier person than yourself. Stay true to who you are as well as your moral compass.

Increasing your knowledge of the world around you is the heart of personal development. It's up to you to take the knowledge you gain and apply it to your life, though.
