Photography Has Never Been This Easy Before!
Photography is a difficult art form to master. You need some degree of talent to succeed as a photographer, but the most important part of successful photography is putting in the effort to learn photographic techniques. While you aren't expected to be a professional from the start, having a willingness to learn and finding your own style are necessary methods.
When dealing with any kind of landscape subject, you need to make sure that your photos have three very important things. These include a mid ground, a background, and a foreground. This concept is not exclusive to photography, however. Painters rely on the idea to add visual depth to their creations.
The more pictures that you take, the higher your chances will be for getting some great shots, so make sure you have a memory card that will hold a lot. By increasing the size of the memory card that you use in your camera, you are increasing the number of photos that you can take before changing cards. If your memory card is large, you will be able to shoot using RAW format. This gives you a great deal of post-production flexibility.

Centering your camera on your subject will bring it into focus, but try moving the camera to change the shot's framing after focus is established. Centering photos is expected and not very unique. Off-centering your photos makes them more interesting to those viewing them.
In low light, it can be hard to take pictures since they can blur. Brace yourself or make sure your hand is as steady as it can be if you're taking pictures in low lighting. It may even be a good idea to rest your arms on something to help stabilize the camera. In the best case scenario, even use a tripod.
Look for patterns in the background when taking photographs. Patterns, in particular ones that repeat, can be very interesting things to see in a picture. You can get some interesting backgrounds and angles doing this.
Learn to use the focus-lock feature on your camera. Usually cameras automatically focus on the middle of the frame, leaving an off-center subject out of focus unless you manually tell the camera where to focus. To do this, depress the button for your shutter halfway, then move your camera to frame your subject as you see fit. Press down the shutter fully to capture your shot.
You should find a good combination of ISO, shutter speed, and aperture. Together, these features interact to determine the photograph's exposure levels. Overexposure or underexposure are usually considered to be negatives, unless you are going for a very particular feel to the image. Try different things and find out which combination of these three features works best for you.
You may want to set your camera to take lower resolution pictures so that you can fit more images onto one memory card, but realize that you are sacrificing some quality in the process. If you do not plan to print your pictures and will only view them on your computer, it is acceptable to shoot images in lower resolution.
